The Coca-Cola Company has a message for consumers in the Philippines: recycle your empty plastic bottles.
In a press release, the company says it has introduced more bottles made from 100% recycled PET plastic, including Sprite and Coca-Cola Original bottles in 500ml and 390ml sizes, as well as a new consumer engagement initiative called "May Ikabobote Pa."
The "May Ikabobote Pa" campaign urges consumers to recycle their plastic bottles again.
"We recognize our responsibility to continue making a positive impact in communities and the environment and acknowledge that we still have a long way to go and that we cannot do this alone," says Tony del Rosario, president of Coca-Cola Philippines.
The company says it has set a goal of reaching 2,400 drop-off points across the country by 2024.
